5 Chinese Nationals Apprehended For Failing To Comply With Permit Terms And Conditions

The Department of Immigration in Lusaka has apprehended five (05) Chinese nationals at United Quarries Limited for failing to comply with conditions of their Employment Permits.

Ms. Tu Renhua (53) female Pu Hong (52), Ai Hui (50), Wu Chunsheng (53), and Tu Chunhua (50) were apprehended during the operation at United Quarries Limited after it was discovered that they were in abrogation of conditions of their Employment Permits.


Another set of Five (05) other Chinese nationals were also together with Yu Kang, male aged Sixty (60) was also apprehended for working at United Quarries Limited while holding an Employment Permit issued under Codeco Zambia Limited in Luanshya. This brings the number of persons apprehended by the Department for immigration-related offences between 1st and 2nd September, 2021 to forty-two (42).

Meanwhile, the Kaoma Immigration Office on 1st September, 2021 secured the conviction of a 26-year-old male Tanzanian Jummane Tengi for the offence of unlawful presence in Zambia.

During this period the Department also removed thirty-three (33) illegal immigrants from the country. Among those removed were nineteen (19) Congolese nationals removed on 2nd September, 2021

Also removed were nine (09) Tanzanians removed on 2nd September, 2021 by the Kitwe Immigration Office after they were apprehended on 30th August, 2021 at Chisokone Market for trading without permits. 5 Chinese Nationals Apprehended For Failing To Comply With Permit Terms And Conditions
